Learning Resources
Are you ready for on-line learning?
The CRS Certificate Progam is piloting a tool that helps students understanding factors that will influence success in online courses. The READI Assessment is free to them and provides feedback on learning styles, comfort with technology, approaches to work, as well as links to resources. Potential students interested can try the tool at http://uaa.readi.info/ . The log in is "uaaonline" and the password is "online."
UAA Basics: Resources for Blackboard and Elluminate Live
Blackboard Basics Most commonly-asked questions students have about using Blackboard. Blackboard is the learning management system the CRS Certificate Program uses for its on-line course work. Students will use Blackboard to access course materials, interact with instructors and classmates, and submit assignments.
Elluminate Live--Getting Started Elluminate Live! (aka eLive) provides a unique opportunity for instruction and collaboration in distance education courses. With an intuitive approach, eLive is an easy-to-learn online program that encourages interacting and working together. Watch the "Getting Started" video to learn more about how E-Live is used in CRS courses. Students will need computer access and a headset with both ear pieces and microphones to use E-Live. Headsets can be purchased at the UAA Bookstore, most electronic outlets, Walmart, and Fred Meyers.
