Blended format means students participate in an 8-hour seminar followed by seven weeks of online sessions and a 30-hour practicum. Both online sections meet weekly for 90 minute sessions using Elluminate Live! Seminars will be offered in Anchorage.

Course description:
This course elaborates on concepts introduced in DLS A101 regarding trauma and children. Students will differentiate between types of trauma and how trauma may affect treatment outcomes. Students will learn safe and supportive trauma-informed interventions, as well as strategies to reduce the effects of caregiver fatigue. Course includes a 30-hour practicum.
